Graduate Students

The Department of Biological Chemistry is proud of the accomplishments of all our students — from our first graduate, Itzak Fischer, PhD (1981), a molecular biologist who is chair of the Department of Neurobiology and Anatomy at Drexel University's College of Medicine, to our current students working on their doctoral degrees.

Our graduates have gone on to hold faculty positions across the country as well as management positions in industry around the globe.

We encourage alumni to stay and keep in touch with the department with any updates. Please contact our graduate program coordinator,  Barbara Shainberg (bshainbe@uci.edu).
